StoryTelling

JACQUELINE

Would it be a sin
To write a poem about Jacqueline?

Ya think she'd care,
If I cleared the air?

I don't think so.
I bet it would touch her soul.

Where would one start?
I guess it would be with the size of her heart.

Love for all wihtout reserve,
Except a little extra if you happen to have nerve!

Bold she is and like it you will,
For you have no other option be you Don Jr. or Bill!

You have to admit you know what she's done.
She's written, published, recorded and sung.

She's not yet famous or a star,
but that's not saying she hasn't come far.

And when she arrives and that ship comes in,
She'll still be our Jacqueline.

...I so admire your French poem which is written in a very nice French, really remarkable. I would hope I could do as good in English one day.

"Jacqueline Yohe has been gifted with the ability to bring a ray of sunshine into any room she enters. She is extremely personable, vibrant and a real joy to be around. She always has something interesting to say and intrigue you with. She makes you laugh about the silliest things and puts a permanent smile on your face. Few people make a point of understanding or realizing their purpose in life. I believe Jacqueline always knew. Hers is the gift of enlightening and enriching the lives of her family, friends, coworkers and all who touch her soul through her literary works, and songs."

"Jacqueline Yohe is truly "spirit filled", and brimming over with an abundant joy that she shares with all who meet her. Her words, and her writing touch us in a special place in our hearts, filling the empty spaces with the emotional and spiritual sustenance that we all need so much.

I am blessed to know you!"

"Jacqueline is one of a kind.
She is fun, she is spontaneous, she loves life and every minute;
She is a story teller, she is a poet, she uses words to bring meaning to mankind;
She does not wait, she does not hold back,
She seizes the moment and puts everything in it; Jacqueline is one of a kind.
She is thoughtful, she is caring, she has many friends and knows no stranger;
She is bright, she sparkles; she is witty and has a wonderful mind;
She smiles, she laughs, she always leaves you feeling better; Jacqueline is one of a kind."

"About Jacqueline,

Anyone who has ever had the pleasure of hearing Jacqueline's story telling has been impressed. But being impressed with her story telling is only one of the beautiful qualities that she possesses. She is a fun loving, dynamic and kind caring person who has blest me, and many others with her friendship. To meet Jacqueline is to find a new true friend."

Greetings from Prestbury Cheltenham, England
This is a beautiful book and you cetainly write well with feeling and purpose. What particularly touched me - your first poem 'We didn't say goodbye' because my parent Tom made his transition suddently and also I enjoyed'To an Oak Tree' because I have a favourite oak tree from which I draw strength. You have such a wide range of subject matter and a gift for touching & expressing our life experiences. My very best wishes for a successful future as an author!'

Noted Psychotherapist, David Sher, from San Bernardino, California, writes the author that he found 'Spirit Led and Free To Be' a powerful book. He considers the poetry to be magnificent and states: 'the reason it made such a deep impression on me was that for many years I was deeply involved in doing psychotherapy and counselling. The main problem for most of my clients was their inability to get in touch with their feelings and their inner selves...most people almost never get in touch with their inner selves - having feelings is forbidden and dangerous for most people. I especially liked your essay about your Aunt Emmie - it made me feel that I was actually there with you and your sisters and brother...' '...send me more of your poetry and news about your other creative endeavors...'

Poetry Open Mics are always fun. But the energy at this event was electrifying! Jacqueline Yohe read a number of poems from "Spirit Led and Free to Be" and sang Prayer For Peace a capella. She introduced five other talented poets who recited a range of poetic styles. This nurturing event, gave those creative people a spring board for further growth. It's only the beginning. But I have no doubt that all will grow with each new opportunity. Poets and poetry lovers who missed this event will want to be sure to attend the July 24th and the 30th Open Mic.

Java Time Cafe My sister, Bonnie A. Washington and myself had the wonderful opportunity to visit with Jacqueline Yohe and Dwight Foster at the Java Time Café, Friday, May 28, 2004. The setting was small and intimate where soft music and song was played. Jacqueline was very pleasurable when she invited Bonnie to join her in a few hymns. Bonnie was very comfortable with Jacqueline's guidance while they sang some beautiful selections. After hearing Jacqueline and Bonnie sing for a little while, Dwight played the saxophone so lovely. Jacqueline, Bonnie Dan, and his wife, Denise and I visited and drank our delicious drinks from the Java Time Café. My drink tasted like strawberries dipped in chocolate. Delicious! Once Dwight was finished playing his saxophone, he began playing his piano again while Jacqueline sang more songs and read several selections from her poetry book. I really enjoyed the very intimate gathering...especially since Dwight Foster played his lovely piano and saxophone and Jacqueline Yohe sang with her beautiful voice and read some of her selections from her book.

May 28, 2004 - Java Time Cafe

Recap of Evening:

Dwight Foster and Jacqueline Yohe provided the live entertainment. Denise played the saxophone in her younger day and enjoyed Dwight's jazz tunes on his sax. Dwight also played a mean keyboard while Jacqueline sang along with some old time favorites. While Denise and I are not singers, we were entertained by other customers who joined Jacqueline in a few songs.
